ArcelorMittal South Africa board today announced the resignation of Kobus Verster as Chief Financial Officer with effect from Monday 23 August 2010.
The Board further announced that Rudolph Torlage, currently the General Manager of Controlling, has been appointed as the Interim Acting Chief Financial Officer. Rudolph shall continue in this position until the Board names a new Chief Financial Officer.
Kobus has been associated with companies within the ArcelorMittal Group for the past 20 years and served on the Board as Chief Financial Officer for the past four and a half years.
During his time at ArcelorMittal, Kobus not only provided leadership to the finance team, but also played a broader strategic role within the organization.
The Board takes this opportunity to thank him for his dedicated contribution to the Group and to the company and wishes him well for the future.
